The chicken shawarma wrap garners love for its savory flavors and generous portions, a perfect choice for a quick yet filling meal.
Freshly grilled seabass, available on weekends, receives accolades for its freshness, with some guests noting the staff's extra effort to secure fresh fish.
The Moroccan tea served here is a must-try, evoking a traditional dining experience that warms the heart, and draws customers back for more.
Some visitors note that the restaurant can feel a bit dim, with the ambiance sometimes affected by burned-out light bulbs, which can detract from the overall experience.
On busy days, especially Thursdays, wait times can become lengthy due to the restaurant's small size, which might challenge larger groups looking to dine together.
A few have mentioned that while the menu is extensive, they wished for a greater variety of vegetarian options to accommodate diverse dietary preferences.
Despite the occasional wait, many agree that the service remains warm and attentive, even during peak times.
We took the family here for lunch while visiting the V&A children’s museum. I am Glad we made the trek as the menu offerings are much more interesting than what the museum café had on offer. The restaurant is a little dark inside as most of the light bulbs are burned out. The bright and warm service makes up for it however. We tried four different dishes ranging from fine (chicken shawarma wrap) to excellent (lamb tajin). We ordered the sea bass which ordinarily is only available on a weekend. However the kind gentleman behind the counter actually went out and purchased a fresh fish due to our interest in ordering it. What service!
For £9 the lamb tagine was well worth the price. It came with chips, some harissa, pitted olives, bread and the lamb tagine itself. The lamb was very tender and bread was fresh. The portion was plenty and I found myself full. The customer service was also excellent, they even charged me £8 instead of the £9. Would recommend to everyone who wants to try some Moroccan cuisine.
The service was brilliant, such warm and welcoming staff members. The food was filling and the prices are generous for the portion size they give. I don’t think I’ve eaten in a Moroccan place before, the food tastes so good. A great insight and representation of what Moroccan cuisine is like. I would 10/10 recommend coming here! Would come here again (I’m not a local)
Welcoming cafe with delicious food! Lamb Tajin was rich in flavor.
came by with with a party of 7 not realizing how small the restaurant is but they were still incredibly accommodating! most of us got the lamb tajine and it’s the most authentic tagine i’ve had that isn’t my mom’s. the meat was sliding off the bone. Jallal was extremely kind- highly recommend!!
What a bargain it is here for the family home cooking you receive! You are welcomed in as if you are a long lost relative, and fed like that also! You must get the merguez baguette! It is filled so much, it’s borderline claustrophobic in that baguette. The meal deal for that is an absolute steal and you’ll be leaving full and warm from there. Fully recommend to anyone to visit this place and be treated and fed with love.
We discover it by mistake and now we can't not stop every day for a sweet or tea that they have an amazing tasty tea,or cous cous with lamb and vegies and is not very expensive like other places. The people inside very polite and friendly, we are lovers of arabs halal food so we love them food is very tasty.Definitely i recommend this restaurant
